Romance of the Three Kingdoms is a 14th-century historical novel, and considered one of the four classics in Chinese literature. This picture book series takes the lengthy and somewhat "intimidating" classic, and making it approachable for young readers through tasteful ink illustrations, relatable dialogue, and approachable text!

Although Liu Bei (劉備) descended from a Han family, he grew up poor. He always had ambition to serve and help his people, but never felt like he had the opportunity or means to do so... until he met Zhang Fei (張飛) and Guan Ruo (關弱).

The three of them share the same dreams and ambitions to help their people. Together they took an oath at the Peach Garden (桃園), swearing in as brother to share in all the blessings and adversities from then on.

Shortly afterwards, they recruited troops and procured calvary, and prepared to lead fifty thousand men into what is now known as the Yellow Scarves Rebellion (黃巾之亂).

In this battle of "one against a hundred"「以一敵百」, will they triumph over their opponents...?
