Why do we wear shoes?
Among the many questions that children ask, “why do we wear shoes” might be one of them. To answer these questions, there are many variables to consider – the different living environments, the different cultural backgrounds and the different resources available.
In this story, parents can discuss with their children the purpose of wearing shoes, the benefits of wearing shoes, and also, the experience of being bare footed. Enjoy the sensory experience by imagining walking around barefoot on mud, grass, sand, smooth floors, or soft mattresses. This book hopes to inspire children to explore the idea of “origin” of things around them; and to have children appreciate the “inventions” that are created as solutions.
